This is my favorite thread this week.

I voted "Me Gusta".

Totally epic. Gets my vote for the "Best of Railwire."

You must have played a lot of Sim City.  I loved that game.

Ohhh, I killed many brain cells playing that game and it's evil twin SimTowers back in college.  Trying to build the perfect city in a tower complex was not an easy feat...  :scared:

Yep, could use some more buildings (so says the guy with only two buildings on my main street - a Taco Bell and Domino's.....).

Hmm... I think the main
street is too wide for that
size town...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
"It works! It works!"

Answer - No.

Tips to solve the issues.

The streets are too wide.
The buildings with peaked roofs would not be butted up against a taller building.
In general everything is a little spread out.

Not claiming this is perfect but it may give some inspiration. (disclaimer, it's HO)

I'd hate for a gust of wind to come up whilst trying to set down that Huey.

This forum has left me clueless about a number of threads, features, lockouts, dissapeared posts, timeouts....

and now invisibility cloaking.   Assuming we aren't talking about Buffalo, NY in the middle of a lake-effect blizzard.   If we are, it's a wonderful job, visibility is appropriately zilch.

It looks great, but I sure the hell wouldn't want to live in that post-apocalyptic barren wasteland of nothingness!  Even the graffiti artists have nothing left to defile!

My personal approach to my home layout is to create an environment for the railroad.
My first impression with this town is that it is your primary focus.  If that is what you want and you think you have achieved your goal that is THE answer.

You guys are a riot which is why I love Therailwire.net. Thanks for all the goofy and serious comments, personally I agree with those that said the main street was too wide. I disagree with those that said the town needed more buildings. Now its off to work on the companies that PRLX will serve with its rail services, maybe I'll post some pics of that after I get a few more industrial buildings.

The problem is that your image is posted on Nscale.net

Only people currently logged in to that site, can see images that are posted there.

So, for most of us -- we saw nothing at all.  Just a big blank space where a picture should go.

Hence all the comments.  And hence the votes about "needing more buildings".
