MTL June Announcements

Me either, still waiting for some CBQ to go with my RPO.  I am thinking the next coach is more in line with what the Q ran so here is hoping!

You and me both.  The NH and CB&Q RPOs were two of the first three MTL heavyweights released, and they are the only two roads not to see multiple bodystyle releases.  The NH even "lost" its suffix number to GN.  Very annoying, given that NH actually had some of these prototypes and half the roads released to date did not.

It is a light month but B&O Heavies are always welcome. I'm also a sucker for meat reefers. Other than that, nothing really catches my eye. The C&O car is too new for me.

Skipgear, any rumors floating about regarding what MTL's next B&O heavy weight will be?
Parlor car and sleeper are the only current body styles missing.  How much do I have to set aside in my budget?

Extending Puddington's comments, it would be nice if the copy writer distinguished between "Road Name" - in these cases "Baltimore and Ohio" or "Canadian Pacific" - and "Car Name" - e.g. "Lake Superior" and "Redvers" - when describing named passenger cars.  In the case of freight cars, the term "Road Number" followed by a reporting mark and a car number does, in fact, correctly identify the car.

BTW - Feather River box car sold out already. Did Chulvis buy them all?

Richard Wallins posted a link on another n-scale forum (BnO in N) that lists various roads and car names assigned to the Pullman 3585 plan used for the MTL B&O car.  From my reading B&O Lake Superior was painted Pullman Green.   I will take mine in Blue and Grey.

I mis-read your post.  I'm familiar with Jerry's pages on the sleepers, parlor and observation.  I thought you were referring to the coach.  My mistake.
