Well, at the risk of going all rivet-counter on utility poles, it seems like a pretty ubiquitous design to me; and one commonly found up here in Minnesota -

The appeal of the NSN poles for me (apart from the looks) is the fact that they don't have so danged many cross-arms. Most of the poles around here have one or two arms at most (unlike the Atlas, Bachmann, et al poles that have more arms than an octopus - most of which need to be pruned off before I can use them).
