We actually have a few of those cars in NARCOA. For the western trips the stops in towns are few and far between so they usually have one of the A cars tow it. It was used once up here on a Northeast run on the New England Central (NECR)... the towbar broke or it lost a pin and the operator (who was the last car) did not notice it for a while. Tied up the Vermonter I believe as they had to go back and retrieve it.  :facepalm:  Thing is for us A car guys...when you lose a lorry car, you dont notice the load change because the cars are so big and heavy!

Childhood recollection is that the plastic site toilets generally started appearing around 1970, +/-5 years or so. I recall the first ones were fiberglass. The prototype or something very close to the BLMA roto-molded plastic toilet started in the early '80s, I think. (I used to manage large bicycle events, and would seriously like to forget what I know about them. Really. Including the time I had to help a cop fish his dropped, loaded weapon out of the... uh... you know.  :scared: )
