Plans for an N Scale Icing Platform

I have a bunch of Intermountain 40' reefers that need some place to be iced. Does anyone know where I can get N scale plans for one?

Hmm... I need a place to
freeze my banana daiquiries...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
"It works! It works!"

That was quick.

Hmm... Kiz is pretty slow,
if you know what I mean...

Didn't know you were looking for kits; this may also be of interest:

I don't have a layout yet, so that's why I originally asked for plans so I could scratchbuild one when I was ready for it. Then I found the Micro-Trains kit, which I'm interested in. The Bar Mills kit looks interesting too. Thanks for the reference.

Hmm... did the Railwire
check Kiz's references
when he joined...?

I didn't realize you were looking for kits, either, or I would have provided a good review for the Micro-Trains model. But you might have trouble tracking one down. I got BLW's last one last week.  :D  (I don't think their online inventory is real-time.) I ordered two, got one.

The MT ice house and deck also appear to be getting scarce out there. I have one on the way from Fifer's, but I think it may have been his last one in stock (according to the web page).

I actually need a total of three decks for my scene. Joe at Micro-Trains offered to help me track down the third. There's a recent thread on TRW where I asked for help in that regard.

An experienced modeler with a chopper could probably roll his own. But I'm not an experienced modeler and I don't have a chopper. The deck extension I put together was actually my first kit. It looked a bit daunting at first, but it went together easily and turned out surprisingly well ... for a newb.

Good luck!

The Bar Mills kits went together well.  I spent more time adding lighting than building the kit itself.  I liked it enough I just picked up a 2nd kit for another area of the layout.

Walthers makes an HO ice platform and building that i have thought
about copying into n scale. Ice houses are about the easiest structures
to build...very few windows and doors.

The June 2012 RMC has an article on ice houses and includes some ice platform pictures and drawings.  The main focus is a rather large UP ice house, but there are pictures and some data on others, including a fairly compact eastern road ice house and platform.  No drawing, but it looks fairly simple to copy.
