Seuss,
What's the back story on your timetable? It is interesting that you have two trains that seem to do very similar jobs, heading the same direction, leaving 15 minutes apart. And that GV-1 and GV-3 don't make any stops along the way? Finally, almost 2 hours to make it 5 miles versus 15 minutes the opposite direction?

-Brian.

thanks for the question

one is a local freight

one is a coal peddler

there is a train length limit so...   it's an easier solution ...

In case you had not seen:

The Fremo America-N club has written an article on TT&TO operations on a modular layout in N-Scale Railroading #127,  December 2020.

Very nice.

One tip though - you should add a column to your station list indicating where the passing sidings are and their car length. If I were operating this layout I wouldn't know from this document where I can get clear of superior trains.

Also, (re)stating the superior direction (for trains of the same class) on the timetable is a good memory aid. If GV-3 is running late and running into VG-4's running time, superior direction will determine which one needs to wait.
