Digitrax sound decoder install problem

Evening,

So I got spunky and picked up a Digitrax SDN1440A0 Sound FX decoder and installed it in my Atlas Mopac GP38-2...installation went pretty well, checked everything when I got the decoder installed before putting the shell back on.

After I put the shell back on and ran it, the engine runs for about five seconds then resets, runs about ten or so seconds and resets...runs for a bit (couple minutes) then resets...

I'm a little perplexed at what might be happening...I'm guessing something is shorting out but I'm not sure where to start looking???

OH, the sound is SO COOL!!!!

Sometimes the factory capacitors on these things are just too small, and installing a larger capacitor can make a difference.

If you do install an electrolytic capacitor, make sure you observe correct polarity.
