Hmm. I definitely recall the NW blue being... well, not that BLUE. It was more of a navy blue. Anyway, I agree with whoever it was that said the redbird scheme would have worked better.

EDIT: I was right. Look at this: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2008226

The N&W one is out, and of course - they got the blue wrong ...

I really like all four of the units completed to date: CR, SOU, NKP, and CofG and look forward to more being released.  Wouldn't it be nice if NS got wind of the CRHS Rail-B-Q in Newport, PA next month and sent at least one of these heritage units through that day?  You know, it does increase, albeit small, the odds of getting a blue leader.

And we'd miss it because we were at the Hard Hat.

If they're gonna paint it up like a former WAB cab unit (that's why the number is in that non-standard location)... at least add the upper striping most of the E units had too.  Oh well... I lobbied hard to get it changed to maroon and gold, to no avail.

Yeah, thanks for trying. Bad enough that they chose blue, and then to get the color wrong ...

Of all the schemes N&W had, the blue was probably the least representative of the N&W.

Still think NKP wins so far.
