X58 update

The container carrying the latest ESM products is scheduled to be released from U.S. customs tomorrow, and arrive at the warehouse on February 18.  Product should start shipping to distributors by February 24.  The entire run is sold out at ESM, and the current over-demand is not enough to warrant a rerun of the first eight road numbers, so don't delay in picking up the ones you want when they appear at the stores in early March.

It was actually 18 months ago that the first announcement was made ... but yes, we're almost across the finish line!

The wait has to be harder for you than it is for us.

True, `cause you guys don't learn of the project until about halfway through the timeline.  The X58 was especially long because of all the new concept designs incorporated (coupler pockets), plus design modifications to have the model ride on BLMA A3 trucks instead of Atlas A3 trucks once I was given advance notice they were coming.   If there are no new concepts, the whole process is about 15-18 months.  For example, I've got two models in the works currently that will be announced fourth quarter, but the projects already have begun in the form of model design, procurement of OEM parts, establishing tooling/production schedules in China, etcetera.  The timeline on these happen to be much shorter than 18 (or 24) months, but they still are 2013 products that already have started.
