This message is to remind anyone interested in registering for the P.G.E. 100 Centenary Convention that there now remains less than two weeks for the early bird registration fees. The deadline for these is March 15. We wish to thank all those who have registered already, and we encourage those thinking of attending to register as soon as possible. We would like to have your registration surveys on hand as we sit down to plan the details of our convention, so that we can tailor the clinics to suit your needs.
The convention is scheduled for July 13-15, 2012 at the West coast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish, B.C. This facility, now one of the premier rail attractions in Canada, is home to a superb collection of PGE and other railway artefacts. The display hall and banquet will be in the CN Roundhouse & Conference Centre with PGE troop sleeper 722, PGE boxcar 4182, BCR caboose 1859 and Royal Hudson 2860 on the display floor! There will be two streams of clinics dedicated to modelling the PGE/BCR, and several slide shows throughout the weekend. We are also offering an afternoon ride on Budd RDC cars BC-33 and BC-21.
