C & D loading equipment.

I'm looking for some excavators and wheel loaders to use in a Construction & Demolition railcar loading spur and I am looking to see if anyone had any suggestions. GHQ doesnt have what I am looking for, and I have concerns that Norscot may be too big.

Have you looked at Shapeways yet?  I took a quick look and there are some 1.120 scale tractors that could be used for n with a little work.  The listings are pretty deep, maybe something there will work for you.

Those are the Maruka (sp??) models - the wheel loader and escavator are good for 1/160 scenes...   The truck with the crane is really too big looking and the others I've not seen in person.

I think they are. I could only find the Maruka ones in groups until these popped up last night.

There is also Searails.  They produced a range of z construction equipment that can be modified for N.  Actually pretty nice stuff, but very fragile.

Another option is the 1:150 scale Fujimoto Heavy Equipment Set No. 2.  These models are very usable with 1:160 scale equpment, provided you don't require perfection.

The Fujimoto models are also slightly better in terms of the quality of the injection molding when compared to the Maruka models.

Edit:  Here are some actual photos, and a better price.

The windows on the cabs are clear and colorless.  I am not sure why they appear black in the photos.

IM going to go with the Marika ones as I only need one tractor. $70+ is a little much for a small scene and then to 5 and sell the ones I don't need  :scared:

What year are you modeling? The Hitachi excavators and Kawasaki wheel loader are from the mid-late 1990's. Another option would be the Tomytec Construction #1 series, which have the nicest excavators out there:

Universal Hobbies has some N scale key chain vehicles that are exact N scale, look great and available seperatly:

Thing is I don't need the sets, just one tractor. I saw the Tomytec ones when they came out. I don't want to have to worry about having to sell the unwanted ones.

Edit: 7toy7 has them individually.

The bus is nice too

That bus is nice, just too much of a pain to put the doors on the "right" side...   :|

They do, and I have bought from them before with no problems.
