Did some work with Jacob on his layout as we also worked on Pinewood Derby cars.  We haven't forgotten about this little layout!

Some IMEX buildings help flesh out the layout.  Jacob and I scrolled through the MB Klein website until we found structures that looked like Apex, NC.  Jacob chose the final buildings.

I also started working on weather techniques on some modern RD4 units. This is a work in progress, but it is getting there. I have a LOT of these to do, so I'm trying to come up with an assembly line process. Stock unit is the right of the weathered unit.

Watching this with interest Jamie, so please keep us posted on your techniques. I have a bunch of IESX units to do after I get through a fleet of DRGW and CTRN quads. Love it so far.

I haven't posted to SNFF for a long time but had a recent burst  of progress.  Amazing work everyone.  The quality of the modeling on RW continues to impress and Bill Denton blows me away while bringing back 60's memories.

Bill, do you remember riding the Milwaukee Road West commuter line out of Chicago and seeing the Pioneer Bank sign as you curved across North Avenue?  My homage.

Finally put a Digitrax DZ-123 decoder in my Atlas track cleaning car following directions posted by Ron Bearden.  Needed a road number so that I could remember the decoder address and I pulled a little extra out of the decal box

Finished this Lunde Studios kit--the gray building in the middle.  Nice kit though the window inserts needed to be cut apart and adjusted to align with the holes.  No big deal.

Finally, for RW Asshats only, my completed Downtown Deco Limited Edition kit.  It's got to be located in Spfld, IL since they are receiving a truckload of the local brew.  For those who come to our Spfld show we'll arrange a trip to visit this fine establishment 8)

Best regards,

Roger

Man are you raising the bar on N scale video!! :o :o I love it, it is like an N scale railfaning video I like the sound effects also and the view of the building with the junk yard behind it. It looks so real keep the videos coming. It shows just how real N scale can look, as we have the advantage of scale size scenes with less selective compression.

Bill, LOVE that Milwaukee scene. If I wasn't such a diehard New Englander, this would have been my road of choice. I don't think they ever had a paint scheme that didn't look good,

The scenery looks perfect, great job!

Needs more Conrail  :D

Bryan, more details please! What type, class? I'm pretty sure I have seen the corrigated ones in Conrail. How late did they last?

Finished building prototype models of two Pennsy gons, G36 and G32C in time for Springfield.

ProJet XHD rapid prototype bodies, milled brass floors (thanks 71jeep!), etched ladders and brake platform, MTL brakewheels and couplers, BLMA trucks.

Saw the new Trainworx 85 flat at my LHS and I know it may not be modern era I could not resist, rolls like a dream, and details out the wazooo... only complaint is the plastic is a bit off color, but nothing a bit of weathering or paint can't address. They seem to be selling out quick, if anyone has any trouble finding a couple send me PM.

Couple of pics next to some BLMA spine cars. For these cars, is the brighter yellow TT paint proto?
