8422 is really odd; one of only two units I could find with a high hood bell over the Pyle barrel headlights....

Pud, is that high nose bell from Min By Eric? A similar mount was used on some N&W GP18s.

Yep; it's the N&W nose bell - closest to the CPR one for that particular motor; they used a bout three types on the GP's over the years.....

The reason I ask is that the photos on Erics website are so bad that I can't really tell what they look like

The wife coughed up that she owes me a loco as one she thought she ordered for Christmas really never did get ordered... I want a Kato SD40-2 early or SD45 in any paint scheme that is DCC ready.

I'm amazed that I, too, can do this!  Thx to Randgust and all the model railroading
forum posters who have, over the internet, given me the instructions and tips.

I have five more handrail / stanchion sets to do on the three N scale U30CG's I'm working
on, so I trust that the skills will get better with more practice.

Worked on some graffiti.

Nice looking rust pits there. Graffiti looks pretty good too. While I don't really care for that sort of thing on real cars, it looks pretty realistic which is the goal of the model.
