What commodities were likely carried in these? Since they are insulated, I am assuming food stuffs. Fresh fruits & veggies, canned goods, both, others, non food items???? Looking forward to these gems, thanks for all of the homework you did on these, Bryan, hope MTL learns a few things from you, It would sure make living with/around Mike a lot easier! ;)

I think just the one PRR car from this release is an insulated car.

If an RBL is done, mine will carry syrup.

This insulated Pennsy car is an XMP.  The first Pennsy as-built RBL will be in the third release.  The first two of these three Lehighs are insulated RBLs.

I couldn't find a "Schedule" of what is to come in future runs, is this info available?

It is not.  I'm leaning more toward the ExactRail model - of announcing product reservations when production is nearly complete - to avoid consumer disappointment with the inevitable overseas production delays.  Seven more X58 releases are planned over the next three years - 57 cars in total, each one unique.  But anything can happen, so releases will be announced as they are set in stone - and "in stone" means in actual production (painting/printing/assembly/packaging).  The exception will be new tooling, as the design/tooling process will be shown along the way.

It is generally known that the next X58 release will include PC and CR.  It also is generally known that the PC and CR patch-outs will start appearing after that.  The revelation that the Pennsy as-built RBL is in the third release is due to Jason pointing out months ago that there was no Pennsy RBL in the first release, so I added one to the schedule and "jumped the line" to include it with the next run of as-built cars.  Release 3 will consist of nine cars; all other releases as of now will consist of eight cars.

Yeah, one of those is in the mix.  PC painted-out a ton of the cars in this fashion, and I have pics of many.

Just put in my preorder through Lin's Junction; not only was she happy to take said order, she also asked which of the first five she should get a few more of, for the store to have in stock. Thoughts? (I specifically ordered 001 and 005 myself, as the DFB cars are the ones I have the most photos of.)

Just trying to prep Mr. Wallet for the inevitable! Looking forward to the next round already!
