Got a chance to poke around on the layout this week getting the Conrail and Guilford mains installed up to Simonds Junction and up to the Merrimack River crossing. I have 6 switches I still need to get in at the junction, but they are currently sitting in limbo at the Nashua USPS distribution center.

The Saturn 8K has been firing away on bridges and the abutments/bridges over Route 3 have been installed as well as the base for the roadway. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do for structures here, so some stand-ins have been coming and going to at least figure out a height of what I want visually in this area.  The elevated track is at 56" from the floor, so its a nice view for my 5'8" height. I do know that I want to have a mill on the right, and it will most likely be occupied by the 17970s-1990's New England iconic Building 19: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Building_19

The C&D shipper comes off the mainline at Simonds Jct. runs over the street on a bridge and then downgrade into the facility. The building can support 8 cars on two tracks once it is finished.

Building 19?  LOL!
I used to drive by (and occasionally shop at) the one in Burlington MA, and few times at the one in Manchester, NH.  Which one will you model?  19 3/4, 19 7/8 or 19 15/16?    :D

In prime Building 19 fashion I was thinking 19 17/16

Haverhill, MA and Manchester were out usuals.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

if that plan is 24" grid, I think I'd leave the peninsula.
