The artwork is...  Let's hope the practical application of said artwork is.

The red ones are accurate.  I supplied Kato with the correct fonts, lettering measurements and unit #s for each paint scheme after the DGLE disaster.

Just to clarify, the red single stripes are accurate in addition to both the red and green five-stripes.  Only the green single stripe is incorrect.

And on the first five-stripe 4985, you have to turn the roof around as the printing was accidentally reversed.  This was corrected on subsequent five-stripe releases and the 4985 re-release.

Anyone know if the DGLE single stripe will be re-run?   It's my favorite scheme by far, even with the "issues"...

Whuh?  I hadn't heard this and I don't quite understand what you mean.  Also, the first one they released was 4935...  is that the one you mean?  I got mine in the very first run.

On the original release, the plate in the middle of the roof is reversed, putting the steam generator exhaust stack on the wrong end of the locomotive.  Of course, that really only matters if you hunt for the little speck of paint representing the "F" on side.

Yes, I meant the 4935 Blackjack.  Eric explained it.  Also the water markings in addition to the "F".

The roof plate snaps out, and you have to remove one or two of the clips so that it will snap back in reverse.  I fixed mine back when they were released, so I don't remember the specifics at this point other than it's a five-minute fix.
