The New Haven RPO is lonely also.  The 28-1 parlor is an exact match for both NH Desiree and NH commuter coach #619.  And there are a number of 12-1 sleepers that can be done, even though they had ice-cooled A/C.

Yep.  That's why we have to do our own sometimes instead of waiting years for them to appear RTR.

That NH car shows up quite regularly on one of my PRR mail and express trains along with Southern and C&O mail cars.

Was that done with mail cars?  My only reference is the Zephyr Rocket which was a joint train with the RI and CB&Q.  In this case each road would use it's own RPO on it's home tracks.

Normally you would be right but there were a lot of PRR trains which traveled between Boston and Wash, DC which would have the NH mail cars and they also connected with the C&O and Southern at several places where is would be common to see these roads mail cars.  I can remember seeing MP mail cars in Harrisburg, PA years ago.  Gotta remember that sometimes these cars were loaded with bulk mail and locked and unmanned for delivery from post office to post office.  SAL, ACL and later SCL mail cars showed up on the PRR quite often also.

Have also seen photos of NH cars on Westbound trains on the Middle Division with an express NH caboose on the rear.

I don't doubt you, but you keep saying 'mail car'.  Are you talking about RPOs in each case?  I know express cars stored mail and express cars could be put through onto other roads (even the CGW hauled UP express).  I'm pretty certain I've never seen a passenger consist that included a foreign road RPO car.  But all of my reference is from the mid-west.   I see there's a PRR passenger consist book out there.  Does that show what you're describing?  Maybe Caboose Hobbies has a copy I can peek at.

Speaking for the C&O, I don't doubt that REA express cars would runthru on the Pennsy up to New York, But I don't think C&O RPO's went thru to New York as their sleepers and coaches did. At least I have never found any reference or pictures to show they did.

Generally agree with you.  I'm basing mine on either photos or videos I have available.  One photo showed a C&O mail car being used on a train on the PRSL no less.
