No offense to those who like them, but I don't have much need for more buses (although I would buy a Fishbowl).  What I could really use are the kinds of cars driven by blue collar workers. No sports cars or muscle cars. Just the kind of cars you would see in factory parking lots. 

Walthers new announcements page for November shows Wiking doing the old VM Beetles 3 for $11.99 in multiople colors too. I would like more semi's with trailers and some stake beds and others for the 60's and early 70's. Auto's  =ok too but I would rather have them cheaper nad less detailed to fill in scnes and fit on Autoracks. Like Lee said, put mini-metals on an autorack and ypou have one heavy freight car.

We identify era with vehicles . Era evokes feelings . Thank you for your vehicles of the 50's decade in N . Please don't stop your N offerings . The biggest complaint is identical color vehicles in the same package . I think the hobby shops have caused you to do it that way , but the buyers don't like it . It is killing your sales .

We need cars and trucks from the 60/70 and beyond..A handful of VWs doesn't emulate what we see in real life.We need more cars driven by blue collar workers and we  do need less sports cars and muscle cars.

Its well past the time the manufacturers started looking at the more common blue collar Ford,Chevy's,Dodge,Toyota etc.

Akshully, I'd love to have more affordable beetles, as well as squarebacks, fastbacks, Karmann Ghias and microbuses.  WM's Port Covington was an import center for VW, and lots of racks full of them went west from Baltimore.  There's a great picture in the Trackside with George Leilich of this service... with two columns of bugs on the top deck of a tri-level!

Ritchie, The hobby shops haven't really requested this. I have been told before that the reason is the packaging process is cheaper for the same coloe in a package. Which I think is bogus and really they just think they can sell more by making you buy multiple packages. It might help the LHS, but I really don't think it would dramatically increase sales. My beef with them is I wish the packaging was smaller and sturdier. Thos things take up an awful lot of space on our sliders at the shop.

Thanks for the tip on the survey.  I tossed in my 2 cents.

A lot of good suggestions have been made so far.  Bulk packs, fixed wheels, blue collar cars for sure.  The focus on sports cars seems to me to have been more an HO issue in the past, though I suspect that was largely customer-driven. 

I think splitting up the colors in packs is a really bad idea if it raises the price.

The survey gives me a little hope, even if CMW's rate of N scale releases has been lackluster.

Thanks for the survey link.  I requested more 90's to present and 70' to 80's.  Detailed, but plastic frames and bodies with positionable front wheels.  Over the road trucks, including Kenworths.  Daily commuter vehicles for industrial parking lots and residential areas.  I also requested bulk pack options.

The "bulk pack" option for the "blue collar" cars is an excellent idea.  It would be especially nice if they release three or four era-specific models and make the bulk-pack an assortment of models as well as colors.

That was my suggestion to them with this list of mid to late 1960s cars which represent "good sellers" for the various companies during this time.
