Can't. I just made this for the heck of it. Owing to the labor involved, they'd cost so much that outfitting one pole with a full compliment would probably be equivalent to a new locomotive.

I don't know which is more impressive, the machining of the master or the fidelity of the casting.  Either way, it's transformative.  A line to keep a close eye on.

Here's one cast in the proper color and dolled up with paint. Note that my hand tremors have reached the point that I can't do decent detail painting any more. Fortunately I can still work a lathe and pour resin.

Also note that the failure rate for these castings is a tad high. Consequently these won't be cheap details; the MSRP will likely be about $12 for a set of 3.

Depending on the look of  the failed ones, they might be salable as well - junk yards, utility company buildings, and any southern state would tend to have a ton of half destroyed line pole transformers.

The first thing I thought was Lost in Space but the insulators would have been on the sides.

Because we dont have them up here...unless its an industrial application. There is generally only one, and it is much shorter and less beefy. They typically covered them with a plastic "cone" to keep the snow from building up on the insulator. They are single phase transformers, for 240v house drops.

Ian, can you get some more images of the style of transformer you have? I'm re-mastering the one I'm developing (to make them easier to pull from the molds), and I thought I'd perhaps make a couple of variations.
