I was able to go fall foliage train chasing on Friday with a good friend. Unfortunately the sun didn't show, and pouring rain knocked down many of the leaves.
Then on Tuesday I was able to get out again.

Beautiful stuff, guys. I had hoped to get out with the camera a little on this, my week off, but alas, no luck. So we'll dig around in the mouldy bag of wonders to see what's down there in the bottom...
Ah, the sweet smell of Altoona in the early '80s...

Nothing new for me also. Thought I'd repost a couple old photos from the mid 70's. Posted these before but will probably some shots new members haven't seen.
First off, the Reading freight station in Shippensburg. I think this is my favorite black and which shot.
PC switching the old PRR staton in Shippensburg, PA.
Same PC train street running headed to Hagerstown, MD.

That's a neat shot of the CR Units on Horseshoe curve. Spiffy MEC boxcar on the headpin too. I was unaware of the street running through Hagerstown. Does that still exist?

Alex that train is headed to Hagerstown and is going through Shippensburg, PA. Those tracks were tore up in the 80's by Conrail and NS now uses the ex Reading tracks to get around town.

Thanks Bob. That's really too bad. Street running seems to be becoming rarer and rarer.
