Great updates Mike,

Ipad looks good. A couple quick things (if you haven't already gotten them).

You can get an Ipad connector for a music stand (what many church worship teams use to hold their Ipads for music) to hold your Ipad up and steady.
Also, have you considered getting an external mic for your videos? The sound is good, but a lapel or headset mic would bring out the narration much better.

Thanks Michael , I have actually considered both but need to order them. Went looking today with no success.

Good progress .. I would consider putting your woods furniture where you have the oil dealer now .. like you stated .. and keep the front of the layout with lower height structures ..

I like this idea as well. It looks like the Woods furniture would fill that space up quite nicely.

I will likely do just that. The more I ponder that move the better I like it.
Thanks , Mike

Mike,

I like your plan to declutter the layout by removing track.  While some think that more track equals more trains, I am a big believer of less is more.  A layout will look more realistic, if the temptation to avoid a spaghetti bowl is avoided.  Besides, your plan to add industries will improve operations, while becoming even more realistic looking.   Nice job.  The ACT RR looks great.

Love the addition of the helix to staging. It been great watching the evolution of your layout over the years. Those GP60's running around are not bad looking either.  :)

Thanks Dave , I did let the track get the best of me before and I hope this will de-clutter the layout.
Thanks , Mike

Well gang , here is a very short scenery update on the ACTRR. I am making slight headway on the conception.
