NSVA Build-A-Truck challenge

The N Scale Vehicle Association is arranging a build-a-truck challenge. We are inviting anyone who would like to participate to build and modify an n scale truck. This is not a contest. We want to promote kit building and bashing vehicle kits. We want the participants to document any tips and tricks involved in building your model.

We have not determined what truck kit the challenge will be based on, but I will let you know. Is anyone interested?

If the truck that is the starting point is something that falls within my era, then count me in also.

OK guys, how about the CMW International R190? The prototype was produced in the mid 1950's was everywhere in the 1960's and was still a common sight into the 1980's.

The CMW IH R190 is a good choice because they are on sale for $6 a package shipped from the company making this a VERY inexpensive project. Get the tractor trailer package for tons of spare parts.

I think all the trucks on this page are on sale:

Sound good?
