Heh, out of sheer luck, I just popped into the Roanoke Railcam in the nick of time to see the covered hopper with the jack-o-lantern graffiti pass through. A delay of just two to three seconds and I would have missed it. Another case of the railfanning gods being generous, I suppose.

I've heard that the Cresson web cam was pretty good last weekend.

Any specifics, Ed?
Oh and I also made a quick jump over to the Folkston webcam this afternoon and caught two UP locomotives running elephant style on the point of a stack train. A good day on the railcams.

Well, there was a bunch of human drama. Looked like a drunk passed out, got whizzed on, then dragged off.
Then another dude got tackled.
Must've been a bunch of drunken asshats staying at the Station Inn...

not exactly a railcam, but Cody Grivno from MR is live on their MR&T webcam working on the layout:

Right now on the Roanoke cam is a beautiful lashup. It's stopped so if you hurry you can catch it.

Right after I posted it started moving. Six units, including 1 UP and 2 of those slugs which look like they were rebuilt from old jeeps.

There is now a single unit with no train sitting there. Conrail paint job.

There's snow all over the ground and still snowing at Cresson. Weird weather.

In case you haven't noticed, there is a new railcam located at Chesterton, IN on the old NYC line. Haven been several trains with CP power and a few trains of flats with steel coils. Itr's near a crossing and lots of horn action.
