BLI PA's, how good are they

Kind of curious as to how good the BLI Alco PA's compare to a Kato model? I see the detail looks better, but how do they run (no sound version)???

I've got 5 of them.  Two powered (with sound) and the other 3 dummies.  I've had nothing but trouble with one.  Never seemed to run worth a damn.  Now the other one is one of my best runners.  Never had any problems with it.  Go figure.

I don't care for the way they delay offering to the point you can't remember how long it has been.

I have an A-B-A set.  Look great and run great. 

I would buy more locos from them if they ever put anything out regularly.

So they're decent unless you get a dud (which I suppose will happen with most any mfg). Thanks for the responses, guys.

            I have 3 units,but they are the E-8/9's two powered with sound and one dummy. No troubles with them so far,but with sound usuing DC they take a huge ammount of juice before you can get them up to speed.I say this because my older PCM (Now BLI) sound equiped E-7 takes only a wee bit more power when starting then the DC version I also have,but not either of the sound equiped E-8's when run singly on DC they will not start untill almost full blast throttle setting,                                                                                                                                   Nate Goodman (Nato).
