Well aren't we just getting spoiled by passenger equipment announcements of late ? A full size RPO isn't really all that useful to me but were the .I'll Rd and GN versions accurate I'd be hard pressed not to dive in - anyone know how close these are to a Mil Rd or GN version (I'm not near my Morning Sun books so I can't check anything)
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

That PC RPO will probably set some people here all a-flutter.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Any update when the Western Maryland F-7's in the Circus scheme will possibly be released?

Thanks,
The S.

Yes, I'll have at least one of them.

The fluttering has begun. :)

Would like to know what they are based on.  Three or four of these behind a Kato PC GG-1 would represent the last RPO in the U.S.A.

They'll probably announce them, then cancel them 3 months later ...

All this new passenger stuff and still no real Amtrak PIII equipment.

I guess it's a good thing I no longer am devout to the WP, or I'd be screaming my head off about that wreck train. Blue? Really? The WP experimented with blue on a total of one boxcar in the 70s and an office car ended up in a C&O looking scheme, but work equipment was pretty much devoutly black and orange, with an occasional use of yellow, or BCR when too lazy to repaint. I really want to see the prototype of that blue work train.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

It's been a long time since I have been buying, but I'm going to grab a whack of those CN bathtubs. Thanks Intermountain/Deluxe! ;D

This looks like the same prototype that's been done twice in N scale so far.  Once by ConCor (poorly) and once by Kato (better).  Fortunately the CCS version will likely have separate grabs and actual steps which the Kato version is sorely lacking.  And it will come in more appropriate paint schemes.  Off hand here's what I remember about these car.

UP is correct.  C&NW had some as part of the Cities pool, they started in yellow and gray UP colors and did end up in C&NW yellow and green later.  I'm not sure if it was the early scheme with the black pinstripes at that point, maybe someone can chime in.  That also means that the SP cars might be correct under the same Cities pool thinking.

Milwaukee Road did reconstruct at least one car to mimic the UP car series.  It might have had the wrap around vents on the roof though.  And possibly port holes instead of rectangular windows in the doors.  But doable with this release.

GN would be correct.  The difference between the GN and UP cars was some shallow cutouts above the trucks.  The Kato car had these (UP correct) so maybe the CCS car will have a straight sill and be the GN version.

IC is sorta close.  The RPO windows were different proportion and the wide baggage door should be moved toward the middle of the car.  I did the conversion in HO on the similar Walthers car.  If you're good, you won't have to repaint.

I can't think of anything PRR/PC that's close off hand.  Anyone know of a match?

NYC's similar cars had four split framed windows.

Thanks a lot Mike.  :)

Oops, the baggage door is inboard compared to the Kato car, so it looks like this is an SP/IC car!

I was surprised to see that there is no Northern Pacific based on prior releases.
