Can anyone recommend a book on the rail lines of the Eastern Shore of Maryland?  Hopefully something out of print and expensive!

The only book I'm aware of is titled "Rails Across Delmarva" by somesuch somebody, and published in 19 diggity two.  We had a copy in the Maryland Room of our local Cambridge library, but someone kiped it... before I had a chance to!

I saw a copy in a used book store in downtown Ocean City last May, and they wanted $60 or so for it.  It is out of print, to be sure.

It seems to me there was a Morning Sun book announced recently that was to include some information on the subject, but I can't recall the details.

This is the one Lee mentioned.  I have and it and it's typical Morning Sun with good photos and info.

Station-by-station, the seldom-photographed PRR operations on the Delmarva Peninsula are captured in full color. Baldwins abound as the photographer takes us from Wilmington to Cape Charles in the last years of the PRR.

Actually Bob, the book Lee is referring to is Rails Along the Chesapeake by John C. Hayman. I have one and its copyrighted 1979. Its an awesome book. I haven't checked ebay or amazon lately, but I got mine off amazon at a reasonable price several years back. The MD & DE was just a startup at the time. Great book if you can find it Tom!

I was referencing the Morning Sun book he mentioned.  And thanks for the title of the other one.  I'm on the lookout for one.

I didn't pay anywhere near that price! I think you can do better!

Sorry for the confusion Bob. I reread what Lee typed and I meant the top of what he wrote and you meant the bottom.

I want this book,

but I am not paying that.
