Must be the medication I am on that enables a sense of hope .

I bought ten of the giraffe gondolas so far.  You guys laugh now but this car will be a collector's item some day for one simple reason; it's so stupid.  It's gonna be right up there with that bad noise car.

Generally I have a thick skin regarding this stuff (you need one on the Boards)...but I think "Stupid" is a bit much.  There are other markets other than Prototype and not everyone is worried about that extra row of rivets or the proper brake wheel.  Most in this hobby keep things in perspective and have fun with this stuff...others...well...I should stop now and get back to work making more stuff you'll find "stupid". :P

Remember, this is a hobby...and hobbies are supposed to be fun.

I know it's not prototypical, but I like the RPO.  The artwork has the appearance of being plausible, so I might pick one up for an eventual 1950s circus train consist.

I agree that the graphics on the car are really nice. However, why would a circus have an RPO? Not trying to throw rocks at MTL. They have a business model and I respect that. It just seems like an odd car type. Carry on.

Best wishes, Dave

Although not in my plans, I think it looks pretty believable.  The printing looks top notch which is to be expected from MT.

What, clowns don't get mail? ;D

I like it.  Any time you can work a picture of a pin up girl into N scale model railroading is okay by me.

Sorry, I'm tired today and have my cranky pants on.  Listen...one of the things we have to be aware of is the demographics of our customer base.  The depressing part of that is we all are starting to look the same...grey and a bit settled  ;D  I have a lot of Grandkids and they are really drawn to the silly stuff.  Sure, Giraffes in a Gondola was not one of my more memorable moments as a Designer (should have seen the stuff I came up at Disney!), but they really got a kick out of the series so far. What do they know about the difference between Bryan's Gondola and one of ours?  Nothing.  Look at Thomas...I bet more of that is sold than proto stuff.  The idea is to get kids interested and away from the Tube.  Like me...they are attracted to bright shiny things.

Now back to my current project....The Adult Video Stars Series!    ;D  Kidding...so don't call your dealer looking to pre-order!

Nothing wrong with it, Joe.

I like the car.  We're all entitled to put our cranky pants on every once and awhile.
