Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

The four-foot-long module is a model of Lehigh Valley's Hazleton Yard in the early 1970s.  The module as well as the Lehigh Valley motive power are owned by Brian Stetz.  The last two scenes in the video were filmed there.  The remainder of the video was filmed on the Scranton PA module of Scott Lupia's future Erie Lackawanna early 1970s layout.

Those pups are owned by Brian Stetz.  Brian is one of those LV nuts and a great modeler.  I did an article on them for Railroad Model Craftsman which should see the stands sometime late this summer.  I built the 4 engines for the article and then turned them over to a good owner, Brian.  The other LV Alco's are Brian's creations.  Same for his cabooses.

Ed:
It was aluminum micro mesh cut into a rectangle.  I then curved it into the upside-down "U" shape.  I used a little "U" shaped wire bracket to attach it to the stack.  It is way beyond fragile.  But if you are careful, it will stay put.

Yeah, afraid so.  It actually wasn't as bad as it looks.  getting the dynamic brake fan to sit just right in the hood was a pain though.  The fan is low profile but the casting I had wasn't.  I had to sink it into the hood which was fun.

Totally hot; looks just like the Hazleton branch.  The red looks spot on - Polly Scale Soo Line red?

Consider this thread officially hijacked!   :P
