Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Craig's actually got some decent prototype information on his site, as well as a video visit to a shipper that receives tons of these. His prototype pics are also good.

I'll never be able to get enough of those, but I'll TRY!! :'(
Wife gave me "the look" when I picked up an El Cap set for $150 this weekend, what would she do if I ordered the whole 24 car set of those?!?!? >:(
Can't model worth a darn, but can research like an SOB.

As long as you want two things:

A: a model that no one has seen yet
B: a model that if it's anything like the HO version, matches no known version
of an ARMN 64' Trinity reefer

Here I was thinking the end platform looked a little 'chunky' for the rest of the model, but put a proto photo right alongside it, and those stanchions are at, or very near, proper scale thickness.  Now the top handrail is fairly thick, to be expected for N scale, but that's a 2-min fix.

Thanks for thinking of me, Philip!  Those are sweet reefers.  Here's an example of today's Tropicana cars, which, unfortunately, are too new for me.

They're close.  Let's at least say there's been much worse foobies out there.  ;)
