Also, the fuel spill area is simple but looks just right.
this is just an overspray from darkening the details underneat the sill, the engine is not weathered on these pictures...
Do you treat the metal first with something like Dullcote before painting?
I clean the wheels and then they are painted first with a though primer and then PollyScale Rust and when the paint is dry I use several MIG Pigments and just dry brush them on, fix them with turpentine and when that is dry another layer with MIG Pigments with no fixation...
Do you airbrush them or paint them by hand?

the whole truck is totally disassembled b4 I start with painting
