The artwork is over on the Athearn web site. I will be in for almost all of the 57' PFE reefers since they all look to be 1970's paint schemes (I don't know about the white cars). I have been waiting for the Pennsy airslides since these made it into the mid 80's in full PRR paint. I remember seeing a Pennsy H40 in the SK scheme sitting in what was left of Pitcairn Yard in 1985. It was loaded with flour for the Nabisco plant in East Liberty, 10 miles to the west. I bought some undecorateds and Daniel Kohlberg PRR airslide decals to paint some up, so I am convinced this is why Athearn announced the Pennsy cars. Their paint scheme choice is odd. They chose the GATX lettered Pennsy cars. According to Daniel, there were only 28 cars, and the only photograph known to exist is in the PRRT&HS vol. 32, no.2. Two of the numbers Athearn chose are not in the known series of 44132-44159 (PRR may have leased more cars). The SK or PK scheme would have been a much better choice and been appropriate for the 1960's to the 1980's time period. I will order these to support the Pennsy release and attempt some renumbers to the SK scheme with Daniel's decals. Thanks.
