Everything blends. Just a general rule of model railroading...
Either that or its a great western road Kato sd40-2. ;D
I am so glad I asked, I think this actually set back my railroad modeling development. Any real answers??
It is a pratical joke playing on the unfulfilled desire for a mfg to produce road specific SD40-2's in N scale... something that is economically feasible now, but unrealized. It is a jab at some of the larger mfg's for having their heads up their arses about the SD40-2, you know, that mildly popular model from 1972-88 (incl the SD40-2F) that sold a few thousand copies that almost EVERY class 1 operated. If it was an actual product teaser from a mfg, then it is to product rumour what the BLI M1 is to product announcement.
I'm kinda getting sick and tired of hearing about it. IF its meaning is to do the SD40-2 series, there's not a huge amount of need for buzz. It's the one model that hasn't been widely available in N scale in multiple versions and schemes. There will be plenty of buzz when whoever is going to do it makes the announcement. Then again, it is kinda funny to see what happens when chuck has too much wine with dinner! ;D
