Its not looking good. Atlas has a trash flat with containers. No N scale from athearn, Broadway, Walthers...

I think people's expectations/hopes outstrip the manufacturer's ability to plan, process and deliver... not to mention their capital resources.....

But here's hoping.............

Well, we really didn't expect anything from those guys anyway. Trash flat and containers. ljudice will love that.

Atlas is talking trash to N scalers?  ;D ;D ;D Too modern for me, but it should  make others happy. I have a lot I can make do with.

4427 should be out by this summer at the latest. I got a chance to compair the MTL and Exactrail versions (I know they are slightly different). The ER one seems to have finer detail. For example the MTL car uses laser cut wood for the stainless steel walkway. Huh? What a weird choice. It looks OK, but i think etched walkways would be better.

I met up with a bunch of RW members, Ian, Sean, Robb, Bob, Dupsey. Hear Chuck and Dave Smith were around but didn't see them.

I gotta tell you, it was very light for N scale this year. Like I said before. Athearn, BLI and Walthers didn't even have N scale on display.

Some interesting industry news though. Horizon is making a full blown consumber oriented site to complete with Walthers. The new site will have customizable searches and indexes that deals with model trains exclusively. Think Walthers but with news stories, social networking and industry information. It should be live in about two months.

Out by summer? Talk about a letdown. Guess thay have to make room for the Reptile of the Month car. ;D

That's not just weird, that's WTF weird. It's gotta either be a stand-in or MT is trying to help out the after-market detail manufacturers, that or we should seriously doubt MT product development team's mental health.
