Chris, they look great. Can't imagine a reason to start over.

Amazing that to be a decent model railroader, one must become a carpenter, a mechanical engineer, an electrician, IT installer, IT trouble-shooter, an artist, a botanist, a civil engineer, an architect, a geologist... and if on the RW, a connoisseur of fine ale.

Chris, your sky looks great. Doing a fade isn't that hard. I used two paint trays and two short-nap rollers, and mixed them wet on the wall. I also used rattle cans to make clouds, primer grey and flat white. I didn't use stencils, as I prefer amorphous cloud effects.

Chris, your coulds look great.  Nice job with those.  I made my own stencils out of poster board and used Rustoleum flat white primer for the paint (prior to purchasing my Iwata airbrush).  I'm satisfied with the results, as I don't like too much detail in the background.

Cotton ball clouds rank right up there with cotton ball smoke from industrial stacks in my book.

Nice work Chris.  .

Nice work Chris.  .

Proper randomization of cotton balls is better achieved by spraying the sky with spray glue then launching the cotton balls which will get a natural soot upon firing from them a carbide canon . http://www.discountgiftsonline.com/images/_products/weareguns/15FCmajorFieldCannon_x.jpg

I like the clouds.

But hey whatever gives you the most realistic appearance.

To me that's the bottom line...
