For those of us who have been purchasing the Micro Train's Ding-a-linging (Ringling) Brothers Circus Train, and for those of you who have dumped this model (you know who you are) or for anyone just interested in the subject. The  cover story in the Feburary 2011 issue of Trains Magazine is the Ringling Circus Train. Author Rhette Coates a native of West Point,VA who has worked in various roles on both the Red and Blue Unit trains since 1985 ,takes us through 8 pages of detailed history and information about the trains. How cars are rebuilt, selected, overhauled, car types, detail photos of cars inside and out,and a nice diagram (maybe T Gauge size) of both the Red & Blue Trains across the bottom of the last two pages 32-33. There is a table listing the current car numbering systems, changed reciently one matching the new Association of American Railroads system, the other for Circus use which is detailed right down to the truck types used, construction materials of cars, their builders and current use types. Ok everyone, buy the magazine and lets start detailing and reworking our trains. Of course we might need lots of KKato undec UP cars and decals. Nate Goodman (Nato).
