If the hidden staging was put on the front edge instead of the rear you could cover the tracks with hinged or hung plywood , or even a slice of shower curtain . I think Lee has some front edge portals to his staging IIRC .

Um...yes in Canada.  Why so negative?  Tis not becoming.

The DN135 can be had for less than 18 dollars from The Dispatcher in Calgary....and no PST in Alberta.

Well, in Ontario it's more....but it doesn't matter - I really don't need or want DCC for this layout...it's just littl ol me playin... ;D

You're perfectly justified in maintaining the DC cab control you're comfortable with.  DCC is fun, but I don't see anything in your plan that would make DCC a necessity.

Well; it looks like a plan.......now, time to add the scenic details...........gulp !
