More Visiting Trains photos (and I do mean many more)these will be posted over the next several days. The trains are Great Northern Railway. First up the 1955"Great Dome Empire Builder" passenger train. Locomotives are Kato, cars are Con Cor, Kato, Brass Car Sides on Con Cor cars, and a Bachmann Full Dome car rebuilt by myself with semi smooth sides before Brass Car Sides offered a conversion. Addational 1955 GN Empire Builder photos. These trains carried one sleeper that was not a Duplex Room car that contained delux accomodations,Compartments and Drawing Rooms. My foob car is a Rivarossi car, the orange color is not quite right. I will replace this with a Walthers similat 10-6 car soon. When domes were added to the Builder in 1955 the Mountain Series obs cars with big windows(Con Cor Model) were removed and the 1947 cars that hed been running on the Western Star train returned after rebuilding to have more bedrooms and only a small rear end lounge.
