Recieved two of the State Of Maine plug door cars from the latest run a BAR and an NH car. All I can say is Wow! Fantastic detailing, wonderful work. Thanks ESM for producing these. My 5 other  foob State Of Maine cars are now officially retired . Time to get out my Life Like BAR BL2's or my IM BAR blue and gray F-3 A Units and run a train. Nate Goodman (Nato). SaltLake, Utah.

Thanks guys.  Glad to see them finally reaching the masses.

More to come.  Watch the first week of October for the announcement of the next two releases, scheduled for 1st quarter 2011 and 2nd quarter 2011 respectively.

... with nothing to complain about ...

Rich,

Well, maybe a minor thing.  I've been getting reports that some of the trip pins are too low.  The top of the pin is even with the top of the coupler knuckle.  Pushing the pins up in the knuckle about .020" to match the current MTL practice solves the problem, as does the long-standing MTL adjustment procedure of bending the trip pin more.

Alrite, I caved and ordered one of the SOM.

Had to rationalize this as a trade up from a MTL version*. ;)

Nice pix! FWIW, the trip pins are a super simple fix (N scale coupler 101)
