New?  Really?

Ha does it say new*?

(new means new run!).

BTW, I noticed the N&W NE caboose, which was 1st red, then blue, is now red again:

No wait, but if you click on the link in the link in Philip's post, it's blue, and we can now see what the actual folly looks like:

Oh wait, is it live or is it memorex? (are they really gonna ship these like that? Monster flanges and all?)

Maybe New status is like virginity. If you abstain long enough you get it back.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Or if you only... nevermind.

Walthers N scale slogan " At Walthers; Revisionist history is our future"..................... ;D
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

I wouldn't bust their balls over the word "new".  I appreciate the new roadnames and color schemes.

And for all the grief about the caboose, I'll buy the Penn Central one.

Would like to see a run of those 10,000 gallon tank cars in N though.

Just got their flyer in the mail.  INFO FOR ED - They list Conrail SD40's for $79.98 "Limited Qualities".  Better hurry to expand your fleet.

So, if new paint schemes aren't new items, are they old paint schemes? I'm confused. Oh well, on to the next "Bash Walthers" thread.

So, if new paint schemes aren't new items, are they old paint schemes?

By this definition every new scheme Atlas announces on 40 year old tooling is "new". ;)

I think the underlying cause for the cynicism may be an alleged statement by Walthers that they would announce two new locos before year end:

http://therailwire.net/forum/index.php/topic,21644.135.html

To be fair they have four months to make good on this. ;D
