These were first used by the PRR.  They even had them on steam engines.  The trackside signals were displayed in the cab of the loco.  If you ran a signal or were going too fast, this system would either stop or slow the loco.

This is awesome!  I have some unpainted Sunrise boxes, but I'll order these instead.  I need them for three of my 5 Housatonic RR GP-35's, which are former CR units.

Our computers have been down (Murphy apparently paid us an overnight visit) so I have not posted photos yet. Thanks for your patience.

You can now see these at:

Thanks for your support!

To answer some of your questions....
--The Cab Signal Boxes we are offering are patterned after the PRR/PC/CR boxes. They do not look much like the LIRR boxes and ditto for the steam engine boxes. If there is enough interest, we could do the steam engine boxes I suppose.
--Bob...I would consider a watchmans heater/cab heater if we can find dimensional data and pictures.

Bill,

Glad to see you added gray to the color options as a stand-in for unpainted signal boxes.  Dave V will just have to use black as a stand-in for Pennsy DGLE for the time being.  ;)
