Already ordered the CR paint out. It'll likely be the only one of these in my fleet, so will be unique amongst the horde. It'll find itself on CPBU/BUCP often... along with my nice ESM 65' CR gon.

One question - regarding the BLW write-up - it seems as if NH would have saved money having them just done in boxcar red. Is that the correct story - I always wondered why NH cars were done in this scheme....

Actually NH piggy-backed their order on top of BAR's 1953 order, and PC&F would have charged NH more if they went with the standard  (at the time) script herald on freight car red paint scheme.  So they took the frugal route and simply went with NH markings on the SoM scheme.  Of course, when the cars needed repainting in the 1960s, the railroad then went to the freight car red scheme.

They're in the country.  They're scheduled to reach the distribution warehouse on Thursday, so figure they'll start shipping to distributors and dealers sometime mid-week next week and be in the stores the week of August 30.

Whats the deal with the OKEX reporting marks .. I couldn't find any decent info online .. what timeframe?  Need to justify for 2010
