I read in Model Railroader August 2010 page 27 that this Micro-Trains model will have BODY MOUNTED couplers for, and I quote, "close coupling and proper car height above the rails".
Also etched metal roof walk.

Thank
you BLMA.  A bigger thank you to the modelers who have asked for body mounts and supported manufacturers who have offered the option.  Thank you to MT for listening to the incredibly small but vocal forum posting crowd who want to 'push the envelope' for more accurate models and operations...
Support fine modeling

If this suits my era (modern-day), then the only question in my mind is, how much can Mr. Wallet tolerate at once?

Thanks MT!

it's MT... so the most you'll see at once is what... a four-car runner pack.  This of course assumes they actually put 4427 schemes on it.

Has any mfr. ever released a car (or loco) without printed numbering, but including a decal or dry-transfer sheet so you can make it any road number you like?   Not exactly RTR, but maybe there is a niche for it.

Yes, you gotta figure they'll release one useful/"REAL scheme'd" car about every two years unless they screw up and get do a remotely relevant and correct runner pack.  So I would budget maybe $40 a year in case that happens but otherwise your wallet will be fine.

I'm trying to get excited about this announcement, but MTL has been much better at disappointing lately so, I can't.
