Yep, hope the numbers are different.
Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

Just read @ TB that there is only 1 duplicate roadnumber -> http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?t=123454

Again? Wtf? All the stuff that could be done and were seeing duplication again, by the same people?

It almost seems like something's up.

No instant-release for EXR this time - they are taking reservations.  So it appears they had it in the works but didn't have firm plans before BLMA announced.

I guess it's good there isn't another head-to-head in N scale this round.

CORRECTION - they are doing it in N as well.  Incredibly.  It sure would be nice to see those Southern waffle boxcars instead.

Incredible.

Would have been nice if they had done the BNSF version instead. Although my Visa disagrees.

Now, the question is....for those that want this car:

Do you buy both sets and make a full 47 car train?
Do you support Craig for being the first?
Do you buy whatever you can get your hands on?

At $25 a pop, it's a fairly expensive car to buy for a unit train. Even at a favorable discount at $20 a piece, that is $940 for a whole train of unique numbers. A 45+ car train of these sure would look nice, glad I have no interest in them.

Price War!!!   See blwnscale.com - looks like blma is fighting back...

Out of curiosity do the UP or BNSF cars have other roadnames. I know I've seen BNSF cars with TRINITY reporting marks and BNSF painted out.  Doesn't Tropicana have similar cars?

Is it true Tropicana won't license their logos, etc???

Gotta agree with that statement whole heartedly. Still, I can't complain about those HS 65' gons for CP... still awestruck at them being done in N!
Welcome to Ontario... we've got a tax for that.

Can't we all just get along?

I can understand where letting your competitor know your plans would be a bad thing but there's got to be a workable solution so that these two don't end up duking it out commercially and one of them loosing and leaving the market. Maybe there could be a sworn-to-secrecy individual that all the N scale manufacturers whisper their plans to (I nominate me   :-X) and, should duplicates be stated, a mediated exchange can take place with names changed to protect the innocent and maybe a sit-down can take place. Sure, if they want to release dupes let them have a pissing match, but this is kind of annoying for the market. Like has already been stated, there's other things we need too.

To play devil's advocate, can you feel the love?! There are at least two manufacturers who seem to be paying attention to what's being said on the lists! ALCO S1!!! Do you hear me?!
Now seeking Pacific NW N scalers to create a Modutrak-style modular club featuring NP's shared mainline between Seattle and Portland. PM me if interested.

A great idea, although a better one would be to have me!

Seriously it is a good idea - and outside the US it might work, but it would never work in the US due to legal restrictions and just the culture of not exposing your secrets to others.

I know it would work in Finland, BTW, since I was involved in a similar project there once!   ;)
