Recently rebuilt and finished an additional MP54. This one was rather beat, and needed the pan reconstructed.

And then there were Four:

Working pans under cat is one of the few things not involving my wife that gets my motor going!  Nicely done.

Thanks guys!

Tom,
They're 80's vintage brass. Originally sold unpainted, often found raw with heavy tarnish or with bad paint; and typically in rather beat shape. This one in particular had okay paint, but needed the power mech and pickups redone, DCC installed, and the top half of the pantograph rebuilt from scratch.

Everything about that, from the grimy heft of the cars, to the spindly pans, to the oxidized copper cat screams Pennsy...

How can one look at that and not love Pennsy?

I always look forward to your pics and only wish there were more.

Stopped in a hobby shop while out of town on saturday; found that they had a powered brass MBM62 from the same manufacturer as the cars above. Painted, lettered, great condition. I can just picture it running with it's sisters.

Very good work! The weathering is excellent, do you have any pictures of it before you fixed it up?
