Well, no Amfleets, but it seems that Kato will be producing black PC and AMTRAK units.

Can
we now end the Kato Western bias complaints?  Probably never be enough to satisfy some folks...

Only if we get to increase the Walthers anti-N bias complaints. All increases in positives must be balanced out by increases in  negatives.

I'm surprised they did the basic black before the red/silver/blue one.  But yeah, very nice!  But remember, Amtrak ran in the west.  Just don't tell them that the GG1 never did!

Only if they make an American Freedom Train T1 . I would be happy with just the engine .

I'm not.  That silver bodied, blue pinstriped, red-nosed "thing" was atrocious.   Should rank up there with the Chessie scheme, right, Lee?  Actually, far worse, in my opinion.  Woof!

True, but it's flashier, and that's what Kato specialized in, no?

I'm holding out for a Santa Fe Warbonnet GG1.
But that PC GG1 is SHWEEEETT.
Can a E44 be too far behind? Inquiring minds want to know.

Kato doesn't specialize in "flashy" - they specialize in "iconic"...

The results are not always better - but there is a distinction....   :)

I wish someone would do an E44 or an E33 for that matter.  Whatever happened to the rumor that Bachmann was going to do one of them?

Yeah, now Kato has an Eastern bias.
