My Chuck pack just arrived with 2 of these cars.  These cars are just beautiful.  I had to relay some track to get them around a couple curves but now work flawlessly.  MT outdid themselves again with these.  Can't wait for the parlor and hopefully some decent heavyweight coaches.

Bob, are the roofs on these separate?

(wondering if the roof could be used to "add a/c" to the Rivarossi 12-1)

It is separate and could be used if you shorten it and fill in the pedimented ends so you can file an arc in them to match the earlier construction of the RR version.

Did they centered the PULLMAN lettering in the letter board this time?

The 12-1 is centered.  Did some checking and the 10-1-2 was a bit of a mystery.  The information used shows the pullman off-center but I think the information was based on photo's of a car that was re-painted or something.  I had Creative Services make a note that on the next release of the 10-1-2 it be centered.

Cool.  What car name was it?  Would save lettering removal on one car.

There's no car names on any of these.  My 10-1-2 is a Great Northern because I missed out ordered the Pullman one in time.  It's gonna get repainted anyhow.  Now to find the right decals to give them car names.

I'll check the files and see what it was.  I know the Tager drawings had them off center as well...his stuff is usually spot on.

Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!
