I'm surprised no one posted this in the convention recaps, so I'm adding it here.

  • 12-1 heavyweight sleeper in Pullman (no car name) and Great Northern Empire Builder (Glacier), same schemes as on the 10-1-2
  • Evans covered hopper in PRR plain keystone, aluminum, class H47A, 12/65, PRR 260665
  • 50' Box w/Superior door, high ladders and no roofwalk in B&M post-McGinnis, blue, with crate load, 7/68, BM 910
  • Circus billboard car #11
  • Disconnect log car with large-diameter 50' log
  • LBJ President's car
  • Runner pack of circus stock cars
  • D-Day commemorative set w/modified heavyweight RPOs
  • Runner pack of #33050 UP "We can handle it" announced for Jan 2011, UP 169961 170405 170410 170530
  • #27180 reprint - CP Rail yellow, 2/80, CP 166192
  • #77050 reprint - UP freight car red w/yellow Youngstown door and r/w/b shield, 11/68, UP 507405
  • Military hospital kit

All except the GN 12-1 and UP runner pack were on display.

The 10-1-2 Pullman and Texaco tankcars are sold out.
28-1 parlor heavyweight will debut in August, no roadnames announced but Pullman and GN-EB are the safe bets.

Thanks Bryan.  I thought I ordered 2 of the current heavyweights but they haven't shown.  Since they are sold out I went ahead and got a GN one to repaint.  Don't want th 12-1 to sneak by me.  Hope they redo these cars in PRR soon.

I like the PRR Evans covered hopper.  I will be in for a half dozen of these.  It is not a perfect match for the Magor built PRR H47(A) prototype, but it is pretty close.  I photographed one of these in full PRR paint in 1990 at Hollidaysburg.  A lot of these cars were "painted out" by Penn Central and Conrail.  There are multiple examples of Conrail "paint outs" on the Conrail Historical Society web site (H47 and H47A).  Thanks Micro Trains.

Finally the yellow CP Rail insulated heated MTL boxcar I picked up a long time ago has a friend.

A pair of Milwaukee Road 50' boxcars plug door, the freight car red with the wide horizontal yellow stripe.  I didn't take note of the Z scale releases, but I remember that at least.  And I believe the runner pack for Jan 2011 will be the NP pullman green boxcar with the thin horizontal yellow stripe.

InterMountain is working on a cylindrical hopper in Z.  They had test shot samples at the convention.

Lol...I actually have 2 layouts in the works...a Milwaukee Road themed on based on the Snake Track and one of downtown LA.  Too bad I'm running short of cash these days. >:( :(
