From the Yahoo N-scale Varnish group:

> Hello all,
>
> I was over at Greg's house (owner of GHQ) last week and he showed me his
in-development project: an n-scale Pennsylania R50B
express refrigerator car.
>
> It looked truly spectacular. Given that there are already correct n-scale
2D-P5 trucks on the market (made by American Limited) it
looks like we will have more head-end equipment shortly for our passenger
trains.
>
> I am not sure if decals are already available for the many versions seen on
these cars, but if they aren't, I would be happy to
put develop some.
>
> I'll post more information when I hear about it.

Great news.  I believe Microscale has an appropriate set of decals.

I think these are the best looking RR owned reefers ever made.  Probably ran on almost every RR back in the day.

On page 113 of Morning Suns "CNW in Color Volume 2" there is a photo of a CNW mixed, local train with a R50B right behind the engine (A FM H16-66) in 1958.  Seems like a unlikely place for a PR express car, but there it is.  So these things could then, truly, be seen just about anywhere!

But, you see, they are not just express, they are reefers and that makes them valuable as far as shipping goes, hence the appearance on a freight.  This will be one welcome model.
