That Gunther Brewery complex may end up in my basement, or something approximating it.

Crap. Olympia is gone!

It's still brewed somewhere, just not using the Artesian wells of Tumwater, WA.

I like how that photo of the Yuengling brewery looks as though it has a church attached to it.

Now all we need to do is name it . . . and brew some beer for it to ship . . . with appropriate taste control from TRW staff . . . .

i have a nice ESB in the secondary at the moment...  should be ready for the CRHS May gathering

Sadly, the RBQs will be dry this year because of the venue change.

The Jones Brewery in Smithton PA (Shirley Jones family) is still going. The plant isn't that large, but being a local enterprise, it receives and ships by truck. Possibly at one time it was serviced by the B&O, however.

They still brewing there? Wiki says:

Jones Brewing Company, Smithton, founded in 1907 as the Eureka Brewing Company, operated as the Puraqua Products & Ice Co. under Prohibition, resumed brewing in 1933 as Jones Brewing Co., closed in 2001. Produced "Stoney's" Beer. While Jones Brewing Company is closed, Stoney's is still brewed and marketed by the Pittsburgh Brewing Company (official site),

Bet Olympia doesn't taste as good as it used to.  Real sorry to hear it's not producted in Tumwater anymore.  Had a tour of that brewery back in the late 60's while on ship at Bremerton Navy Yard.  Was driving a motorcycle at the time and after the free samples they handed out the ride back to ship was one good time.

Yeah, you're right, N&W. It went bankrupt apparently. Too bad. Time flies--the last time I visited it I got some sourvenir tumblers. No brew samples, however.

Probably cuz it's brewed at one of the SABMiller conglomerate's breweries in California.

Another major brewery (AB) killed off Rolling Rock a few years back - instead of coming from the glass lined tanks of Old Latrobe, it comes from some mega brewery in NJ. ::)

Sometimes it sucks to be right. :(

Mega brewery mergers are just like railroad mergers, all the good ones disapear.  Remember my dad used to be a big Ballentine fan.
