HO Scale Goggle Valve Detail Kit

For those building HO scale blast furnace models, Alkem Scale Models now offers
a Goggle Valve detail kit. This laser cut multimedia kit is an HO scale model of
a 72 inch goggle vale. It is designed to fit the stock pipes of the Walthers HO
Scale Blast Furnace model. The detail kit provides all the parts to build a
detailed replica of these important components of a blast furnacel.


For scratchbuilders, it can also be used with 0.75 inch Plastruct Pipe using a
0.020 inch styrene shim wrapped around the pipe.

I made N Scale ones for my blast furnace, but have not produced them for sale. I doubt there is a market for them, but I'll do them if N Scalers ask for them, all three of them.

Bernie, What's the size of the assembled valve in inches?  I'm thinking it might make a great excess height load in N scale.

John Drye said the same thing when he saw it on Tuesday night. The valve is probably shipped in flat sections and assembled on the site. I believe the center pipe is about 0.75 inches in diameter.  The up-coming gate valves may also work as an N or HO load  load too.
